About Haji Lane

This famous lane was named after the term “Hajj“, where Arab pilgrim-workers used to provide accommodations to Muslims in Singapore from islands nearby during the 1800’s. From then on Arabs started to settle in the country even more.

Located in the vibrant neighborhood of Kampong Glam, Haji Lane is famous for its Artsy street. It is also accessible to all means of transportation and quite near to the Downtown Area.

Piedra Negra

Getting around the Arab Street we came across Piedra Negra, a Mexican restaurant with really creative interior that gives you an eclectic vibe.

We stayed here to chill, drank some beer and tried out their “Hamburgesa a la Mexicana “, beef burger topped with pickled Jalapeno, onion and melted cheese. Served with Criss Cross Fries.

We had a great food experience. It is a must-visit in Haji Lane.
