According to statistics, Taiwan has the second-highest ratio of convenience stores in the world next to South Korea followed by Japan. Convenience stores such as 7-Eleven and Family Mart are everywhere in the country.
Did you know that for an average number of 2000 people there is 1 convenience store?
Well, you shouldn’t be surprised. Staying in Taoyuan was a little bit far from the main City of Taipei but we saw Family Marts everywhere. There were even 2 branches across the streets from where we are staying so I thought this was normal in Taiwan.
